We coach and tutor youth and adults throughout the week in our programs. Take a glance at our focus areas:

  • HiSet/GED program and program partnerships

  • Mentoring and coaching for youth and adults
  • Learning through computer and technology literacy for all ages
  • Coping in a learning environment

HiSet/GED for Adults

In the U.S., 30 million people over age 16 — 14% of the country’s adult population — don’t read well enough to understand a  newspaper story written at the eighth-grade level or fill out a job application. 43% of adults with the lowest literacy rates in the  United States live in poverty. Adult low literacy can be connected to almost every socio-economic issue in the United States.

Tutoring and Coaching our Youth

Many middle and high school students across the state and nation aren’t reading at a proficient level. According to a report by the Tennessee Comptroller's Offices of Research and Education Accountability, more than 70% of Tennessee’s eighth-graders read at or below the basic proficiency level for that grade.
